Went to Miss Clarity Cafe yesterday to meet up with mok, samy, zhiying and my 二奶妈! It's been a long time since we talked. As usual, i am complaining about how lousy mediacorp shows are nowadays. In the past, i still can remember that there are fabulous shows like 福满人间, 东游记 etc. For now, I don't even bother to use my remote to switch to CH 8 anymore.

Firstly: There were 古装戏 in the past which were very exicting. Like Miss-oh-not-so-old Fann Wong and her lover Christopher Lee in 神雕侠女. Also, shows in the 60s like 福满人间 and 春到人间 were really good. After their 古装城 got burnt down, they don't even bother to film anymore such shows. The most they could do is to send our poor mediacorp actors to China and end up in a minor supporting role in the show. Oh ya, and the voice will be totally cheeena-ish. Eewww. Their recent attempt on 凡间新仙人 failed terribly. One word to describe it: SUCKS

Secondly: After HollandV became successful, mediacorp started to attack viewers with 温暖牌 shows like 家在大巴窑, 同心圆, 喜临门. People do get sick with such shows. And the worst part of the whole show is like 30 mins were spent filming on how the aunties and the ahsohs fought and quarrelled about trivial things like the fish bought were not fresh etc etc. It will totally ruined my appetite for dinnertime. And another horrible point to note is the shows are super draggy. One grandmother story can stretch till a 100 epsiodes or even come out with series 2.!! This is totalloy ridiculous. Is mediacorp going to move towards Taiwan's Local Drama like the 200-epsiode 霹雳火 or 意难忘? Seriously, i dunno...

Thirdly: What's wrong with mediacorp? Why are they still choosing outdated and haggy actors and actresses as the main leads? 李锦梅, 李南星, 郑惠玉 are ALL HISTORY! Oh please, they are so prehistorical and expired. Why are they always filming show revolving about parents, families, ahsohs and not something more 'youngster'? They can perhaps do shows like 任我遨游, 舞出彩虹. I HATE AUNTIE'S SHOW! Lousy.

Lastly: Please send all the so-called handsome by products of mediacorp like 黄俊雄 and Julian Hee for basic drama retraining. Are u sure they are acting or just mumbling over their cheesy lines? Whenever the camera rolls to them, I have a urge to throw my porcelains chopsticks right onto their face. But, i love my plasma tv too much, 下不了手 ): Please, retraining or gone!
